Veteran Machakos Journalist Jennifer Itumbi Wambua Goes Missing


Veteran Machakos journalist Jennifer Itumbi Wambua has gone missing since March 12, 2021. Ms. Wambua who is the former bureau chief with the Kenya News Agency (KNA) in Machakos, and currently works as the communication director at Land Nation Commission was last seen on Friday after her husband dropped her at her office.

According to a report given by Nation Africa, Jennifer did not return home on Friday and had not been traced by Sunday.

Her husband Mr. Joseph Komu is said to have found her handbag and phone in the car hours later on Friday, while he had taken the car to the garage.

According to the CCTV footage that was retrieved to trace her movement from the time she was dropped by the car, Ms. Jenifer is seen reporting to her office that day but later seen exiting the building's lift with her handbag.

According to reports given by the detectives, Jennifer was either kidnapped, or she left by herself.


He said his wife’s failure to show up at home for the third night has heightened anxiety in the family.
