Panic as Body Of Undressed Man Found Dumped in Banana Plantation, Ropes Found Beside Body

Residents of Icangi village, Mwea East sub-county, woke up to a rude shock after they found a body of a 42-year-old man dumped in a banana plantation.

The body was naked and there were pieces of nylon ropes believed to have been used in tying the victim's hands.

Police reports show that there were visible signs of struggle and torture on the victim’s body. The body had scars indicating torture before the death.

It is suspected that the man might have been killed elsewhere and his body transported to the site.

The man’s body was taken to the mortuary awaiting postmortem to establish the cause of death.

Police said they will issue a comprehensive statement on this matter once investigations are complete.

Regarding the rampant insecurity incidents in the sub county, police noted that they have intensified patrols and appealed to members of the public to volunteer information that may lead to the arrest of the criminals to security agencies.
