A 42-year-old man was arrested yesterday night after committing a very bad crime for raping, torturing and killing a 10-year-old girl in his house. This happened in Kericho county and the man was said to be normal despite doing such a shameful thing. The police who arrived at the crime scene in time prevented him from being killed by angry crowd of family members and the people (mob). This is after they found the body of the young girl body at the chaimen River and realised he was the one who killed her.
Her parents said that their child went missing on the way from school at late 5pm.The old man took her to his house where he sexually molested her, strangled her on the neck and stabbed her chest with a knife before going to dump the body in Chaimen River. The Kericho county criminal investigation officer Onyango explained that,"after the body of the minor was found floating on the river without any of the undergarments we deployed intelligence officers to investigate and resolve the murder. The suspect also led us to the pit of latrine in which he dumped the girl's blood-stained pair of shoes and underpants."
