DP Ruto during his Saturday visit dished out a total of Sh3,020,000 amid excitement from church leaders, “Hustlers” and Migori residents.
Ruto started his day by visiting a local church in Migori as he was escorted by a huge crowd into the unfinished church which only had a roof.
The DP excited the church congregants and the crowd that had gathered outside to see him when he donated Sh1 million which was in a brown envelope to the church.
“I will give Sh1 million to assist in the construction of the church,” said DP Ruto.
The DP revealed from the Sh2 million donated, 48 bodaboda Saccos will share Sh1.5 million while the remaining Sh500,000 will be distributed to mama mbogas from Awendo.
During the rally still in Awendo, it started to rain and one woman, a “hustler” decided to hand over her big umbrella to shield the DP from the rain.
Ruto in turn decided to bless the woman, identified as Mackline Atieno with Sh20,000 which DP Ruto had asked from one of his bodyguards inside the car.
