More than eleven people have been confirmed dead after the bus they were aboard plunged into a river.
Reports indicate that the bus had run out of fuel at an uphill area after crossing the river Thura bridge.
Upon refuelling and igniting the engine, the brakes failed and the bus lost control as a result rolled downhill before plunging into the river.
Dozens of other people were also rushed to the Embu level 5 hospital and Siakago level 4 hospital in critical conditions after sustaining serious injuries.
