A family in Thika can now breathe a sigh of relief after their missing daughter was rescued by a Good Samaritan. According to credible sources, the Grade 3 pupil was abducted by three criminals riding on a motorbike outside their home in Makongeni.
After the 9-year-old girl was kidnapped, her family circulated her photos on social media and urged well-wishers to join in the search mission. After hours of endless search, the girl was found safely abandoned at Thika Blue Post Hotel on Saturday night around 10 pm.
A Good Samaritan reportedly found the girl in distress near the road and upon interrogation, he noticed something was amiss and took her to Thika Police Station. Police officers later reunited her with her parents who live in Makongeni estate.
It is advisable for parents to keep a close eye on their children especially now schools are closed.
