According to the sources, Evans Mutai the shipowner got overwhelmed with anger and drove a knife on the right side of Festus Keter's chest and left him to die.
Reportedly the body of the deceased was discovered by concerned neighbors who reported the incident at Chesoen police station.
Detectives from the DCI arrived at the scene collected some samples and later arrested the suspects.
The blood-stained knife was also recovered at the scene. The body of the deceased was taken to Longisa hospital mortuary.The suspect will be arraigned in court on Monday 25th October to face murder charges which is punishable by life imprisonment according to the Kenyan constitution if found guilty.
Netizens online condemned the act done by the shopkeeper stating that it would have been better to take the deceased to the police rather than taking laws into his hands.
