Two police officers, civilian arrested while escorting a car ferrying marked ballot papers in Kilgoris.

This is according to the Facebook post by The Daily Nation Newspaper on Monday night.

"Two police officers, civilian arrested while escorting a car ferrying marked ballot papers in Kilgoris: Narok police boss Kizito Mutoro." The statement read.

Narok County police commander Kizito Mutoro confirmed the arrest.

He said that the three were blocked by police officers who were tipped-off by one of the aspirants in Narok.

Thorough inspection inside the car led to the recovery of marked ballot papers.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission were yet to comment on the report by press time.

The three are currently being detained at the police station pending police investigations.

This comes barely eight hours when Kenyans now wait eagerly to go the ballot to cast their votes. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairperson Wafula Chebukati pledged to deliver peaceful election.
