Detectives Arrest Five Girls From Masaani Secondary For Arson

Detectives in Machakos County have arrested five students from Masaani Girls Secondary School in connection to a fire incident that gutted down a dormitory at the school on 5th November, 2021. 

The five were arrested following investigations by DCI Machakos and are believed to be involved in setting ablaze a dormitory at the school leading to destruction of students' and school property estimated at 4 million.

They will be charged in court for Arson and related offences.

Arson is a serious offence and is punishable by life imprisonment despite the age of the attackers.

According to a report posted on social media, the National Police Service (NPS) has asked parents and teachers to continuously remind students on the wages of every act of criminality.

NPS has threatened to take tough action against any perpetrators, their accomplices and vendors of petroleum products and other flammables who are connected to fire incidences in schools.
