The department of Directorate of criminal investigation in kenya led by Nuldin Hajji reports that the run to search for two criminals who are allegedly accused of defrauding a couple in kiambu over sh.716,000 in a swim swap scam in june 2021 are now in custody.
" Two suspect who defrauded a icouple in kiambu over sh.716,000 in a sim swap scam in june 2021 are in our custody, the two; Sabina Evelyne Nyanumba who is a student at Egerton university and a 19 year old paul Nyabero kilenya were arrested in Nakuru's Njoro sub- county over the weekend."DCI report says. Their persuit and subsequent arrest followed the june incident where a woman received a call from unknown to safaricom number and made to believe that she was being engaged by a Safaricom customer care operator.
The two are being arraigned ink kiambu court of law with this charges.
