Meru University student Ng'ang'a Wamuthaka was discovered dead in his room this morning. According to Githunguri sub-county deputy police commander, Kipkoros a Ceska Pistol also was found in the room, which was allegedly used in the murder.
The body of the deceased was discovered by her sister early this morning at around 5 am when she found the door to his room open only to go in and find the lifeless body of his brother.
The Police are yet to establish the motive for the killing. Also found in the room was a liquor bottle showing the deceased might have been drinking before the incident occurred. Locals say they heard a loud bang the previous night and they thought maybe it was a faulty light bulb. Such cases involving young people with illegal firearms have been witnessed in different parts of the Country as security agencies work around the clock to bring to book those found culpable.
