Cases of road accidents have recently been on the rise in Kenya. Many people are continuing to lose their life's as other's luckily escape death by whisker with injuries.
At around 1pm last night, the Makueni County Speaker Douglas Mbilu was reported to have been involved in a tragic accident along the Masumba - Kwa Matuungu Road in Nguu Ward, Makueni County. His vehicle is said to have hit a pile of sand which had been packed along the road. He was lucky to escape death with his driver and were quickly rushed to one of the hospital in Wote for treatment. The infront parts of his vehicle were badly damaged.
Confirming the incident, the Makueni County Clerk said that Mbilu was among the people who were yesterday campaigning for Eshio Mwalwa who is eyeing the Nguu/Masumba Ward seat through the Wiper Party. He therefore got involved in the accident on his way to home while from the campaign activities.
