Nairobi Expressway is a 27 kilometer long road that stretches from Nairobi CBD and terminates at the adjacent counties. The construction of this mega billion toll highway begun in 2020 with CRBC (China Roads and Bridges Corporation) being the super contractor of the highway.
Nairobi Expressway will play a key role in boasting Kenya's economy. All the works that are undergoing on the Nairobi Expressway are being financed by the government of Kenya and China Exim Bank.
The Nairobi Expressway is projected to be opened fully for public use in before June 2022. This vital Kenyan government project, Nairobi Expressway has brought alot of remarkable changes along other major highways in Nairobi that might cause confusion to many Kenyans who are not well conversant with the new highway.
Some of the highways located in Nairobi whose faces have been affected by the construction Nairobi Expressway are Syokimau and Mlolongo highways. According to tweet by Ma3Route today, Syokimau is now called Mlolongo while Mlolongo is now called Nairobi East.
