" There Was a Direct Attempt to Abduct Chebukati And Murder Him" Ruto Says, Alleges What Agents Did

Having been presented with reports of power by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, president William Ruto has finally disclosed attempts of abduction that were directed toward independent electoral and boundary commission ( IEBC) commissioners.

According to Ruto, Wafula Chebukati and commissioners Boya Molu and Professor Abdi Guliye were threatened by the state to moderate presidential results in favor of the Azimio la Umoja leader.

He as well knows that the trio were as well offered a huge financial reward to cooperate with agents of impunity but they solely stood against them and instead embraced transparency.

The head of state has therefore hailed Wafula Chebukati for his exceptional work as IEBC chairman that saw a free and fair election.

Pres. @WilliamsRuto: We know that there was a direct attempt to abduct Wafula Chebukati and murder him so that the commission would be paralyzed, or a compliant commissioner take over and subvert the people’s sovereignty

Ruto's bold statement comes off as Wafula Chebukati, Boya Molu and Professor Abdi Guliye leave the IEBC office after the end of their 6-year tenure at the commission.

The trio has been promised full security in their retirement by deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.

Meanwhile, let us wait and see what happens next.
