Cases of road accidents have been rampant in the recent months with the year 2022 alone registering over 100 deaths.
Atleast 45 passengers escaped unhurt on Monday morning after the bus they were traveling in went up in flames at Buoye area along the Ahero-Kisumu road.

The Guardian Angel bus was ferrying passengers from Kisumu to Nairobi when the incident happened.
Glass fragments from the crash were scattered all over the road, which police reckon is what burst tyres of the Guardian Angel bus.
No injuries were reported in the incident as the travelers and locals stood at a distance watching the bus burn to a shell.

The accident caused a snarl up along the busy road as motorists had to wait for the inferno to be contained before passing through.
The cause of the fire has not established yet.

According to NTSA, there is an average of 3,000 lives lost annually in Kenya, with the bulk of the crashes attributable to challenges related to driving.
