Nakuru County has been under the spotlight for the past few days after it emerged that a gang known as Confirm has been terrorizing residents and locals in the area of Mawanga especially.

This called for the intervention of the Cabinet Secretary of Interior Security, Dr. Fred Matiang'i, who, accompanied by various other security chiefs visited the area yesterday.
Beatrice Kiraguri has been the County Police Commander in Nakuru for the past one year and three months and has been transferred from the area.
Mwanzo is a no nonsense officer who is known for ruthlessly dealing with criminal gangs in his areas of jurisdiction including Kasarani where he has been.
Mwanzo was promoted from OCPD to County Commander and given charge of Nakuru to deal with the Confirm Gang and many see this as an easy job for him.
According to the reports, Mwanzo's colleagues know him as a no-nonsense officer who has been numerously praised for tactically dealing with crime and criminal gangs around and in the areas where he has served.
