Sad scenes in Siaya County, Ugenya sub-county, In a small village in North Ugenya ward called Jera Village, a man returned home yesterday evening after a tiresome hustle and found that his wife wasn't around.
The villagers reported that they have been unrests at this home for quite sometime. The lady was a local brew addict and her husband has been urging him to stop taking chan'gaa but the woman don't make an attempt to reduce her drinking rate.
Kevin Onyango immediately arrived home and started searching for her wife only to suspect that he would be at the local brew stupor. The 34years old went there only to find his 42 years old wife so drunkard.
Those who witnessed the scene said that he started beating the wife before people started stopping them unfortunately, he injured the wife to an extend that she couldn't even walk and carried her on a wheelbarrow that he picked at the place to return her back home.
After arriving home the woman developed some complications and died on the way to the hospital. The police officers were then alerted and Kevin Onyango arrested and taken to Sihay Police station where he will wait to answer murder charges.
Condolences to the family of the late Emmaculate Mayavi.
