The KDF Hands 4 Chinese Murder Suspects To The Ethiopian Federal Police

The Ethiopian Federal police National Interpol team received four Chinese nationals from Kenyan police who were allegedly responsible for the murder of another Chinese national.

Following the suspected murder of the deceased, Fu Hui, at a Chinese restaurant in Addis Abeba, the four suspects, according to Ethiopian police, fled to Kenya. Following the international Interpol "red notice" that was published by the Ethiopian Federal Police 24 hours after the accused escaped Addis Abeba, this occurred.

Kenyan and Ethiopian authorities have been collaborating closely to fight crime and initiate joint operations to combat terrorism, which has been a problem for East African development. Chinese nationals have recently been the subject of allegations of racism and discrimination in Africa in addition to breaching the law. China issued a warning to its Kenyan residents in 2019 about breaking local laws.

Wu Peng, the Chinese ambassador to Kenya, said that China was concerned about the increasing number of instances of its citizens being found in violation of the law and said that lawbreakers will face harsh punishment.
