Marriage is life time vow which should not be broken.But this is not the case in today generation.
Grace Njeri a businesswoman in Kiambu and a mother of two children narrates her struggle in marriage to Monica Kagoni.Grace was born and raised in Kiambu county.After her secondary education she me with her husband and got married.They started life together and invested in various business.
They later invested in transport sector and gradually they became successful.Her husband started taking alcohol and changed his behaviour."i never gaveup on my husband even after he changed.he would take alcohol and stayed three days without going back home.I would pray for him to change but never changed.Eventually,he developed a heart problem which was a threat to his life " she said.
According to doctors the told Grace her husband had a blood clotting in his heart veins.
"After several treatment my husband health became even worse.I took him to Kenyatta hospital but doctors told me my husband had three hour before he die," she said tearfully.
After he was taken into intensive care unit he died after one hour due to blood clotting in his heart.Grace misfortune continued after the death of her husband.According to Grace her husband's parent never recognised her.
"I was not invoved in my husband burial even after staying with him for 10 years in marriage.During the funeral they regognised my children but i was left out.Since then I decided to move on with life to take care of my children," she concluded.
