
Police in Embu are on the spot after a vehicle alleged to be from Manyatta police station hit a motorbike Rider and sped off immediately.
The family of the deceased Daniel Muriithi who was a 42 year old father of two claims that police later refused to write a statement from them following the accident that left their kin dead on the spot.

They now want the police officer who was driving the police land cruiser to be arrested so that more investigations can be done for justice to be served.
William Owino, the DCC in Embu and Kirinyaga revealed that investigations are still ongoing. He said that the police land cruiser was not stopped after the accident since the driver feared that angry citizens would attack him on the road.

William added that the driver reported the accident at Manyatta police station. He urged the family to report the incident at the Traffic headquarters in Embu town for further steps to be taken.
