People are turning out to be cold blooded monsters who are killing their neighbors ruthlessly for failure to pay peculiar debts they own them.
Police in Bomet are holding a certain man identified as Evans Mutai for stabbing his neighbor, Festus Keter over a four hundred shillings debt that he refused to repay on time.
According to reports by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the assailant is claimed to have pursued the victim to pay off the debt that he had. However, the victim pleaded to be given more time to repay the debt but his pleas landed on deaf ears.
Evans Mutai went ahead and drove a knife into the chest of Festus killing him instantly. Surprisingly, Evans went ahead to sell merchandise belonging to the deceased. Police managed to arrest him and got the weapon of murder which will be used as exhibit.
"Police in Bomet have detained a man who killed his neighbour last night, over a Sh400 debt. Evans Mutai who owns a shop at Sibaiyan location was arrested after he stabbed Festus Keter, 35, on the chest and went on to trade merchandise at his premises unperturbed." The DCI reports stated.
Kenyans have been urged to use peaceful means of solving their problems to avoid such homicide incidents.
