Police Rescues Safaricom From Theft Of A Telecommunication Equipment Worth Over Kshs 2 Million

Directorate of Criminal Investigations has revealed their latest arrest that have seen a Safaricom equipment worth over 2 Million shillings recovered. According to DCI,a man who vandalized Safaricom telecommunication equipment worth over 2 million Kenyan Shillings consfiscated.

The thief identified as Lenny Nganga masquerading as Safaricom engineer on a maintenance mission gained access to to a transmitter station in Muranga after convincing the guard to let him in.

DCI reports that after a while,the guard became suspicious and of the man's activities and alerted the police. The man however escaped the police and jumped into his Vehicle before speeding off. DCI reports that this prompted a Chase not witnessed by Muranga residents in recent times.

The man sped off towards Sabasaba with police landcruiser roaring closely behind him. After a few kilometres past Sabasaba,the police caught up with him and he pulled over in surrender.

DCI reports that further search into the vehicle saw the discovery of another telecommunication equipment believed to have been vandalized somewhere else.
