Gikomba market traders have had a rough Wednesday morning today after property worth unknown value has been destroyed after a fire razed down a section of the market early morning of Wednesday 20th October.
Kamukunji Member of Parliament Yusuf Hassan, who also broke the news of the inferno confirmed the incident stating that several firefighters arrived at the scene to put off the fire.
"A fierce fire is raging in the southern part of the Gikomba market opposite Juakali and adjacent to Muthurwa primary school in Pumwani. Fire fighters from various government units including the Kenya Defence Forces are on the ground battling to bring the blaze under control," the Member of Parliament said.
