A Van has been sandwiched between two lorries claiming the life of another road contractor in Mlolongo, Nairobi County.
Traffic police officers who were on the site confirmed the accident saying the driver of the van was drunk.
According to the traffic cops, the van had 12 passengers onboard all of whom were heading to Kariobangi south before the accident happened.
The deceased was heading home in Kariobangi from work Thika Road before he met his untimely death.
His body was moved to Nairobi County hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
The driver alongside the van is currently being detained at Mlolongo police station.
The officers urged the passengers to desist from risking their lives by boarding such vans so as to prevent similar incidents from happening in the near future.
The deceased was identified as Samuel Kela, 45, a senior road contractor in Nairobi County.
The officers are currently investigating the matter.
