Modern coast yard in Mombasa
Modern coast bus owners are counting losses after two of their buses were burnt down completely at one of their yards in Mombasa.
Workers in the station tried to move other vehicles but unfortunately the buses were already up in flames in an incident whose cause is yet to be determined.
Firefighters in Mombasa responded to the scene quickly to try and save other vehicles and buildings nearby from catching fire which was spreading quickly due to the fuel in the cars.
Recently there have been cases of the Modern Coast buses catching fire, not long ago several passengers escaped death by a whisker after the modern coast they were travelling in caught fire at Masimba township in Makueni.

In 2018 another bus also belonging to Modern Coast, caught fire on its way to Mtito Andei but luckily there were no passengers on board.
It is not clear yet why some of the buses in the said company are catching fire mysteriously despite being serviced several times before ferrying passengers countrywide.
