Mobile money fraud cases have remained anightmare in Kenya. Many Kenyans have suffered from the vise without their knowledge.
Recently one of the major media houses in Kenya aired a story on how Kenyans are defrauded by people believed to be prisoners. To make the matter worse this week one senior officer of police was the victim of the same.
Now today according to the reports published by Standard Digital, Muthara MCA aspirant Benson Thuranira has been arrested in Nakuru on suspicion of mobile money fraud targeting shop operators.
Rift Valley DCI boss Meme Mwenda has confirmed the arrest of aspirant claiming the victim is suspected of defrauding operators of mobile money shops.
It was not clear where the suspect committed the offence but we hope before the aspirant is presented in court we will know the charges placed against and the place where the crime was committed.
