A student of Laikipia University died on Wednesday night after being stabbed by her roommate’s boyfriend.It remains unclear why the suspect killed Chepkoech, a First-Year student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and English Language Studies.
After fatally stabbing the student in the head and stomach, the suspect, identified only as Ezra, turned the knife on himself, sustaining stab injuries in the neck and abdomen.He was taken to the Nyahururu County Referral Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to the police boss, Ezra had previously been warned against entering the hostels, given he was a nonstudent.
