Even after the interior cabinet secretary for security sent Kenya Defense Force officers to banditry prone areas for a mission to flush the bandits out and restore sanity, the bandits have continued to attack innocent citizens with the latest case being in Marsabit County where herders were attacked yesterday at 2am while still in their grazing fields. So far three people have been confirmed dead from the gunshots with several others sustaining critical injuries.
The bandits attacked the herders, started shooting them leaving the herders maimed and they later raided the 1000 goats. Among the herders several are now fighting for their dear lives in hospitals with some of them being referred from one hospital to the other.
Following the attack, several security officers have been dispatched to the region for them to restore the peaceful sanity in the region as they hunt down the attackers who are making the families to live in perpetual terror of tomorrow even when the government is working to bring the banditry activities into a stead end.
Moreover, the victims who were left with ferocious wounds have been referred to Marsabit Hospital. After investigations, it was revealed that the attackers took to shooting the innocent herders before overpowering them and moving away with the 1000 goats. As at now, the situation has calmed down and the attackers are being hunted down by the security guards.
