Seven Family Members Burnt Alive In Embu After Their House Caught Fire

Sunday morning residents of Runyenjes rose to the grief after seven siblings perished in fire which burnt their house to ashes in Embu county, Runyenjes ward, Ngimari-gichiche sub-location.

According to NTV Kenya, The father, mother, three children (a Boy and two girls) and two grandkids died when the fire broke out in the wee hours, around 4 am in the morning in their three bed-room house.

Area member of parliament, Muchangi Karemba confirmed that the cause of fire had not yet been determined.

"The cause is not yet established. Crime scene officers have started the investigations to determine the real cause of the tragedy, if anyone has any information to kindly reach to our investigators to speed the investigations,'' Karemba wrote on social media.

The timber house was consumed was burnt to ashes and the victims were burnt beyond recognition.

In other news 7 Kenyans are feared dead after Al Shabaab militants attacked a borehole drilling company in Geriley village, near Wajir-Somali border on Friday morning.

Wajir County Commander Hillary Toroitich confirming the attack said among the killed three were locals while other four came from different parts of the country.

Kenya Defence Forces retrieved the bodies immediately bringing them to the country while the locals were buried as per the Muslim religion.
