A girl from Kisii whose name has been withheld was gang raped by unknown men while heading home around 8 pm on a motorcycle in a deal orchestrated by the boda boda guy in Gusii land according to a Facebook post on the page Usikimye.
At some point during her ride home, the boda boda driver told her to disembark while informing his colleagues that “nimewaletea mzigo ingine” which implies that this is a usual practice. They raped her mercilessly and later threw her in a well.
Screenshots of WhatsApp chats shared alongside the post indicate that the girl was a virgin and the boda boda guys were keen to have sex with her claiming that she is hot. They justified their actions by telling her that she likes to show off.
She was later rescued and went to hospital and to her dismay, clinicians denied her medical care claiming that all the evidence had been washed away by water. They then told her to leave as they didn't have pep and since she was an adult and she should be aware of that.
“After her sister called and we couldn't find any place to treat her, they made her feel it was her fault, I requested they bring her to Nairobi and we are now headed to hospital for treatment,” the post read.
The post also advised women that if you are raped, it’s never your fault. You are advised to seek medical attention within 72 hours which is the window for Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP).
Quick recovery to the girl.
