The government has raised concerns about the slow pace at which people are collecting their Huduma numbers. Most of the Huduma number cards are laying in different offices across the country. Some parts like Murang'a, less than 10 percent of the people who registered for the Huduma number have gone to collect theirs.
The government is now urging its citizens to collect the Huduma cards as early as possible to avoid last minute rush. While leading the card issuing process in Murang'a, the county commissioner said that the locals were not going for the cards despite being informed through messages from Huduma Kenya.
He advised people who were not aware of the message due to loss of their phones to visit the office the chief. He clarified that not all Huduma number cards were ready. The officials said that they hoped to give the cards in three days so that more can be brought from Nairobi.
If you haven't gone to collect yours please do so to avoid confusion and paranoia when time will be much gone.
