A huge explosion on Thursday 25 November, 2021 hit Somalia's capital city Mogadishu, leading to the collapse of walls of a nearby stored hospital and massive destruction of property.
According to reports, the Thursday mid - morning blast occurred near the popular K4 junction in the heart of Mogadishu city.
However, the authorities have not yet released any information concerning the possible cause of the blast or the exact figures of casualties as there was no immediate claim of responsibility..
Reports further indicate that the blast which was followed by gun fire brought business to a stand still causing chaos in Mogadishu as terrified residents fled the city's center.
