The 16 American citizen and 1 Canadian were kidnapped by the powerful 400 Mawozo on Saturday after visiting an orphanage in Croix, a northern suburb of Capital Port-au-Prince over the weekend.
The gang that kidnapped this group of American and Canadian Missionary have asked for $1million which is about KES 1Billion Shillings for their release.
Quitel said kidnappers first called Christian Aid ministry staff in Haiti at around 4:50pm on Saturday, stating their ransom demands at the time of calls. Several calls between the kidnappers and the Missionary group have taken place since then.Quetel added that both police negotiater and FBI are advising the abducted group on how to proceed in which negotiations are ongoing. The FBI are ground in Haiti helping in investigations.

The Missionary are concerned with Ohio-based Christian Aid ministries which says the abducted group consists of 5men, 6women and 5children.Negotiations are on going and let's hope that they will be released.
