"This Is Beyond Kenya" See The Royal Photos Of The World's Most Expensive Road Owned By Uganda.

Roads connects different parts of the country. They help in promoting trade and other economic generating activities. There are many roads in Africa but the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway located in Uganda has caught the attention of many people.

Kampala-Entebbe Expressway.

The Expressway starts at EIA (Entebbe International Airport) and continues to Kampala, goes through Alright city, Kajjansi, Kabojja and end at Busega where it joins the Kampala Northern Bypass. The Kampala-Entebbe Expressway measures approximately 51 kilometers long.

The highway was constructed by China Communications Construction Company Limited. The construction work of the road was funded by Exim Bank of China. It is estimated that the road consumed a total of $340 million during it's construction. The supervision consultant of the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway was Beijing Expressway Supervision Company.

Kampala-Entebbe Expressway is Uganda's first toll highway. A toll highway commonly known as turnpike road, is a road for which a fee is assessed for passage. In a nutshell, a toll road is a form of road pricing typically implemented to help recoup the construction cost of the road. The Kampala-Entebbe Expressway has helped in liberating the economy of Uganda.
