A middle aged woman is lucky to be alive after what she went through. This is after angry residents bayed for her blood following a discovery they found in her house and they decided to take action on her, only for her to be saved by law authorities.
In a story published on Facebook by Mbaitu FM, a leading local radio station in Ukambani, the woman was found with hundreds of 20 Litre jericans in her house. When locals found out, they were really angered about it.
This is an incident which happened at Mavoko, Mwingi in Kitui county. It is reported that after the jericans were discovered, many of the locals claimed that the woman had stolen them, something which solved a puzzle of jericans which had been disappearing from the region.
The residents then decided to teach her a tough lesson and descended on her with kicks and blows, in an attempt to terminate her life. She was however lucky to be reacued by Nyumba kumi official from the region.
