Alcohol Lovers And Bar Owners Receive Good News After The Government Makes This Announcement

Kenyans were taken aback on Wednesday when Police Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai issued an order for all pubs and restaurants to close by 7 p.m.

The majority of Kenyans thought that, with Uhuru's decision to lift the dusk to dawn curfew, they would be able to party and drink all night, as was customary before to Covid-19.

Kenyans reacted angrily to the IG's announcement, with the majority criticizing the government's timelines.

However, on Thursday, October 21, 2021, Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe of the Ministry of Health declared that bars, restaurants, and entertainment joints are now free to carry out their business and remain open until 11 p.m.

While speaking to journalists at Afya House, Mutahi urged bar owners to keep social distancing and other precautions in mind while they go about their business.

Revelers and bar owners now have the authority to operate and party until 11 p.m. without interference from anyone or any authority.

Other measures, including masking, social distancing, and hand washing, are still in place.
