A 38 years old man from Ruguca village in Runyenjes constituency in Embu East Sub County is the latest victim of electrocution.
Reuben Mbogo Njagi is said to have been coming from a nearby local market place when he unknowingly touched the line that had fallen across the road.
It is reported that when the incident took place, efforts by nearby residents to rescue him from the electric currents bore no fruits, leaving him for the dead.
Residents have blamed Kenya power and lighting company (KPLC) over negligence following the above incident and several others that have been brought about by electrical surges, lights tripping in the past one week from 5pm to around 10pm every day, with their complaints hitting cold shoulders.
Calls have been made to the company to compensate the bereaved family for their sudden loss.
Body of the deceased has been taken to Embu level 5 Hospital mortuary.
