Panic And Tension In Thika Town As Body Of Unknown Person Discovered Hanging From a Tree


Tension has been witnessed today in Thika Town after the body of unknown person is discovered hanging from a tree. According to report, all business was paralyzed as people flocked to the area to witness. The body was seen hanging on a tree, near the Thika Registry Offices. According to the World Health Organisation, nearly 800000 people commit suicide every year. Depression and mental health disorders have been known to lead to a majority of suicide cases in Kenya.

Other reasons include financial problems, relationship breakup, life stresses and illness. Furthermore, cases of suicide are also high among people in conflict, disasters and violence stricken areas. Therefore suicide is the second leading cause of death among girls between 15 and 19 years after maternal conditions.
