There has happened a fatal accident at Huruma KWA Chief, whereby,a 14-seater Matatu that was heading to Rounda, lost control and came down rolling several times by the roadsides. In the course,,two people believed to be street children, were knocked down dying on the spot.Their bodies have been collected and taken to city mortuary by traffic police officers.
Four other passengers in the vehicles were rescued with major injuries, and taken to Mathari hospital for specialized treatment.
The vehicle involved has been pulled and taken to chief's office at Huruma as investigation into the cause of the accident continues.
This comes at atime, when the cases of road accidents have increased in both major highways and street roads. And i want to take this opportunity to urge our drivers,to be extra carefu on roads.Let them observe all the set safety rules so that lives can be saved.
May the gone rest in eternal peace.
