Deborah Kerubo, a 17 year old student at Kenyoro mixed secondary school left many in dismay after she threw her nine month old infant in the school pit latrine.
The Megogo area chief Mr. Richard is said to have reported that the student had procured the abortion of her nine months pregnancy prompting officers to rush to the scene, only to find the girl had already thrown the foetus in the latrine.
The officers tried to retrieve the lifeless infact in vain and asked for the help of Kisii Disaster Management Team who managed to retrieve the lifeless infant.
The girl was rushed to Kisii Teaching And Referral Hospital ( KTRH) and admitted in the maternity ward . The scene was processed and the body of the infant was taken to the KTRH mortuary.
