Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and other local leaders including governor Amos Nyaribo and MP Ben momanyi among others were earlier today in Nyamira County to launch various developmental projects and called for peace among the residents.
The CS commissioned the construction of Mother and Child hospital in the area which will be of great help to the residents.
In his speech during the launch, the CS called for local leaders to be united for the sake of developments.
"We are at this place because of the development of our county and it is only possible if we all become united," he said. "Prosper in everything. We thank the national government for coming up with Kiendege airport, sports stadiums (Nyamaiya, Manga) and the Industrial park in Nyamira County, " Matiang'i said.
The interior boss said there should be no fear and people should ignore the rumour mongers and concentrate on developing the county.
"Just ignore them. They are just making noise. We have seen some of them peddling chaos and unnecessary tension, but we need to focus on development," Matiangi said.
Dagoretti North MP urged Ruto allies to stop attacking the CS as he was only doing his job.
Others leaders drummed up support for the CS.
