Siaya: Two Police Officers arrested after Breaking The Law Over Alleged Assault On A School Teacher

Two police officers have been arrested after breaking the law over alleged assault on a primary school teacher who never wore a face mask in Bondo Sub-County, Siaya County.

The two are said to have accosted the teacher to a local drinking joint in Guba area within Bondo town when they assault the woman.

Bondo Sub-County Police commander Justus Oracha who confirmed the arrest said the two were nabbed by sleuths from Directorate of Criminal Investigations from Bondo office following a tip-off from two residents.

They are currently detained at Bondo town police station waiting police interrogations.

The two were identified as Jecton Okach, 34, and Mathews Onyango, 45, all police constables attached to various stations in Siaya County.

Their firearms were also confiscated and handed over to the DCI office in Bondo town.

The teacher also identified as, Caren Awino, is reportedly said to be going back for lunch when the two assaulted her.

The school teacher sustained serious injuries from the rogue officers were alleged to be drunk during the scuffle.

She is currently receiving treatment at a local private hospital in Bondo town.
