Big Blow to Pastor Ng'anga After The Government's Latest Ruling on His Television Channel

Pastor Ng'anga has been dealt a blow after Communication Authority of Kenya ordered the closure of his television. Sasa TV has been operating under the leadership of Pastor Ng'anga but some issues had arose where investigations were contacted concerning the content they air.[Photo Courtesy]

Director General of Communication Authority of Kenya, Ezra Chiloba has ordered the closure of the station with immediate effect for atleast six months. According to reports by Kenyans.co.ke, the Communication Authority reached at that decision after investigations revealed that the station has been violating most of the broadcasting rules.

Sasa TV has also been directed to ensure that their staff undergoes mandatory training and appropriate operations of the Profanity Delay Mechanism system, management of live broadcast, broadcasting legal framework, complains handling and also consumer protection.Beside that, they have also been urged to ensure that they employ adequate and qualified personnel accredited by Media Council of Kenya.

If Sasa TV fails to implement all the requirements they have been given, the Communication Authority will be forced to revoke and suspend their operating licence for good. Ezra Chiloba claims that all broadcasters have to adhere to the set rules by the Communication Authority.
