Earlier on today, a child fell into a septic tank under construction at his home in the village of Bogeche, Masaba South Sub-County, Kisii County. The child was playing near the septic tank when he fell into it and died by drowning.
According to the area Sub Chief of Bogeche Sub location, Hudson Monari, the septic tank had no lid at the top. Construction was still ongoing at the home of the child who was living with his grandmother.
The child's mother is working in Saudi Arabia according to the information received from the village. The report came from Getembe Television which is a local channel that airs news in the entire Kisii and Nyamira Counties.
The area Sub Chief, urged parents to be extra careful with their children especially if they have construction going on in their homes. The child's body was taken to Gucha Funeral Home in Keroka Town.
