A 34-year-old bodaboda rider was on Tuesday night killed after his motorbike was hit by a Nissan, his body was found today morning lying beside Ngong road, Nairobi County.
Police in Nairobi are now hunting for the driver of a vehicle which hit the boda boda rider and later run without being noticed on Tuesday night.
Area police said the deceased was a popular rider who operates within Ngong road and its environment and was going home when the accident happened.
"We know him. He is a popular rider operating within here. Before the unfortunate incident, the deceased was going and his body was found lying beside the road today morning. We are investigating the root cause of the incident," the police said in a statement.
The body has since been transferred to the hospital mortuary for postmortem and preservation.
The incident came barely two months when four people lost their lives on the spot after a police vehicle collided head-on with a motorbike.
The victims, a boda boda rider together with his three passengers a man and his two kids died on the spot.
The matter is still under police investigations.
