
On May 24th, a policeman lost ksh1.15M after he had withdrawn from a bank in Giligil, Nakuru bank.
The Chief Inspector based at Astu headquarters at Gilgil was robbed of the high amount while having lunch at hotel around1:53pm.
The Chief Inspector said he saw the man breaking into the double cabin after he heard his alarm sounding while seated at the hotel enjoying his lunch.
The Chief Inspector said he peeped through the window after his alarm sounding and that is when he saw a man the car's driver's door using a duplicate key.
"I saw him take the bag containing Cash Ksh1.15 million," Chief Inspector lamented.
The Gilgil OCS confirmed the incident from the docent by Kenya.co.ke.
The suspect also escaped with registered Ceska Pistol loaded with 15 round ammunition.Detectives investigating the incident, stated that the thug escaped using white Mazda type of a car.
Detectives from Gilgil visited the scene and also recorded the Chief Inspector's and eyewitness statements.
