The autopsy of the athlete Agnes Tirop has been concluded. The examination shows that Agnes died due to excessive bleeding after she was stabbed on the neck.
However, Dr Njeru said that the Directorate of Criminal Investigation will continue with the investigations to reveal more details surrounding the brutal killing of Agnes Tirop.
"We have completed the postmortem examination for the late Agnes Tirop. We have conducted this autopsy as a team of two pathologists and a forensic physician from Iten County Referral Hospital," stated Dr Dorothy Njeru.
Dr Njeru affirmed that the examination has generally shown that Agnes succumbed to injuries as a result of stabs. Details says that Agnes also succumbed to blunt force trauma.
Dr Dorothy says that the team of pathologists have released the examination report to the DCI for further investigations.
