There has been reported a fire outbreak in the likii area, Nanyuki. About 40 families have been left with no shelter after the fire consumed their houses.
The residents have stated that they are thankful to the county fire extinguisher truck for coming in time and preventing extensive damage despite the problem with water shortage in the area.
They have added that they have rescued a few personal belongings safely without any case of theft being reported. The residents have also requested their governor to add more fire extinguisher trucks and train more people on the skills to handle fire outbreaks for fast and efficient services.
They have requested the government to set up a borehole in the area to supply water in the area to reduce the water shortage.
The area residents also have requested Governor Joshua Irungu to avail himself at the scene so he can help the affected with shelter, clothing and offer them jobs.
