Revealed; Amount of Salary Money Cabinet Secretaries have Forgone for the Drought Fund Project

The Kenya Kwanza government is trying all strategies in ensuring that they curb the drought situation which has been overwhelming for several months due to climate change.

The president has called out for donations of food stuffs as well as the recent contribution of money that was recently initiated by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Recently, President William Ruto urged his cabinet secretaries to forgo their one month salaries and donate to the drought mitigation kitty.

According to Kenyans.co.ke news podcast, the Cabinet Secretaries have contributed their Ksh 17,348,656 November salary to the drought fund kity after they had promised.

The reports state that the Cabinet Secretaries have done this as an act of solidarity to push forward and ensure that the huge trouble of drought is sorted out completely.
