The construction asked the residents to register with Ksh 630 as they await gifts worth Ksh 10,000 per individual. A group of almost 1,500 women had already registered but later discovered they have been coned when they heard of the scheme being unreal over the radio. "I heard on the radio the warning about the scheme. We may have lost our money," one of the women said.
Police in the area have launched investigation in order to arrest the culprits. Ruto's communication director David Talam confirmed that neither the deputy president nor his wife had organised such problem."There is nothing like that. Those fraudsters should be reported to police," said Talaam.
